With an MBA and a background in property management, entrepreneurship, and
nonprofit leadership, John combines strategic insight with a genuine, client-focused
approach. His family has managed properties in Newport for over 35 years, giving him a
strong foundation to help clients navigate their real estate goals with confidence and
care.
With family ties to the city stretching back to the 1860s, known for founding the historic
Mathinos Shipyard in Newport Harbor, Jim Georgiou Construction, and the beloved
Ocean View restaurant at First Beach.
John’s ties to Rhode Island reach beyond Newport into the heart of Providence, where
he owned and operated Yolenis an iconic Greek Mediterranean restaurant and
marketplace that became a celebrated part of the downtown community.
Outside of real estate, John’s passion for music, art, and cooking reflects the creativity
and dedication he brings to every part of his work.
