An Evening on Nantucket with Elin Hilderbrand

Yesterday, EDGE Escapes, hosted an intimate evening on Nantucket with bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand — often called the queen of Nantucket for the way her novels have captured the island's rhythm for readers around the world.

The day began with a private Blue Book Tour, led by Elin's sister Heather Thorpe, taking a small group of guests to the shops, beaches, and hidden corners of the island that inspired scenes throughout Elin's books. From there, the group moved into the evening's centerpiece: cocktails and dinner at The Wauwinet, one of Nantucket's most beloved waterfront settings, where guests shared conversation and a Q&A with Elin herself.

True to its design, the gathering stayed small and unhurried — twelve guests at the table, each receiving a curated luxury gift as a keepsake of the night. Partners including Lilly Pulitzer, Foraged Floral, and 76 Main Ink Press Hotel helped bring the evening to life, and a portion of proceeds was directed to a charitable organization supporting literary education and access.

It was a reminder of why we love working alongside EDGE Escapes: experiences like this aren't about spectacle, they're about place, presence, and the people who make a location feel like home — the very same qualities we look for when helping our clients find theirs.
