If pumpkins, hayrides and crisp air are your idea of a perfect fall afternoon, plan a trip to The Farmer’s Daughter in South Kingstown. Their Fall Harvest Festival brings the magic of the season to life with hands‑on activities, seasonal treats and the region’s most unique heirloom pumpkins.
The festival runs on weekends from September 20 through October 26, including Columbus Day Monday, with activities open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A weekend all‑day pass includes every attraction and costs $15 for adults and $20 for children, while kids two and under are free. The pass allows unlimited access to hayrides, mazes, games and more (weather permitting). Activities begin at 10 a.m., the last ticket is sold at 3:45 p.m., the final hayride leaves at 4:15 p.m., and everything winds down at 4:30 p.m.
Weekday visits are also available. A $10 weekday pass (activities 10 a.m.–4 p.m.) includes the corn maze, obstacle course, scavenger hunt with prizes, straw‑bale maze, pumpkin path and goats. It’s an excellent option for school groups—teachers can arrange weekday field trips by email.
This isn’t your typical pumpkin patch. Festival‑goers can enjoy hayrides, a winding corn maze, a scavenger hunt, a pumpkin dunk tank, a barrel train, a straw‑bale maze, a quirky tunnel roll, toss games, a roller slide, and other interactive displays. Kids and adults alike will love exploring the farm’s pumpkin path and meeting the resident goats.
Beyond the activities, The Farmer’s Daughter offers a beautiful selection of unusual heirloom pumpkins and gourds, along with fresh fall decor and plants that can brighten up your home inside and out. It’s the perfect place to pick up porch pumpkins, decorative corn stalks or a few mums for your front stoop.
As a local business that understands how much lifestyle and community contribute to a sense of home, we at Edge Realty cherish events like this. The Fall Harvest Festival isn’t just a day of fun—it’s a celebration of Rhode Island’s agricultural heritage. Wandering through mazes and sipping cider with neighbors reminds us why New England autumns are so special. For new homeowners in the area, this festival offers a warm introduction to the community; for long‑time residents, it’s a tradition worth returning to year after year.
If you’re looking for a memorable way to ring in the season, mark your calendar now. Weekends fill up quickly, and the heirloom pumpkins sell out fast. You can find The Farmer’s Daughter at 716 Mooresfield Road, South Kingstown (Route 138 between URI and Route 1), open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Grab a pass, breathe in the autumn air, and experience a Rhode Island fall done right.
