On Tuesday, December 12, from 5-8pm, Santa will be at The Fifth Element at 111 Broadway in Newport, RI. Bring your Christmas lists, take your picture with the big guy and enjoy festive treats and merriment! There is no charge to meet Santa but a donation to Lucy's Hearth is encouraged. See you there!

What is Lucy’s Hearth?

Lucy’s Hearth is a 24-hour emergency and transitional shelter in Newport County serving children and their families who are experiencing homelessness. Their mission is to provide comprehensive programs and services to homeless families in a safe, supportive environment that promotes family health and stability and increases self-sufficiency in order to achieve permanent, affordable housing. Lucy’s Hearth believes that homeless families can overcome barriers to self-sufficiency through the combination of holistic programs and services offered in a hopeful, safe and nurturing environment.

The Fifth Element is a casual-hip dining hangout populated by locals, destination diners and tourists alike. The interior is finished with a winning combination of rustic and industrial decor made so by earth-toned paints, water walls, touches of soft upholstered furniture and a prodigious bar built from reclaimed old growth pine.
